About Me

My photo
Hi I am a Christian, a nurse, the mother of two grown children and two grand daughters, one grandson, and 3 dogs. I love people and have a huge heart. So why am I blogging? Well I've been told that I need to publish my writings. This seemed to be the easiest way to do that. Also, I want to get out there and live life to the fullest. Empty nests are great because now I get to explore the world. I'm starting right here on my computer. So come along with me and as I learn to fly we'll soar together!

Everything was perfect.
All was as it should be, as the story goes; and great everlasting love flourished in the garden with the Creator and His beloved.
The object of His greatest desire – the apple of His eye – perfect love.
We who were made in His own image, to bear His glory and rule His creation being loved beyond measure were given the ultimate gift: a choice to love, not a command.

But then......

All of heaven held their breath as Adam stood there on the unseen precipice – the moment when he must decide.
And they wept when he chose Eve over the Father.
For they knew His heart was broken in that moment.
The connection severed and life was made vacant.
Separated and now utterly alone because the best part of us is torn to shreds without His presence.
And for the second time God’s creation rejected Him.
Love’s expression walked away even as the pain of separation overwhelmed them.
But they could not go back.

What they did not know was that there was already a plan.
The great mystery of a love that would not die.
A love that would not give up or abandon His treasure.

And then.....

What a wonder that Jesus Himself came.  He broke through time and space to come and rescue the beloved.
A daring plan, an epic battle in a long told story of The Prince come to save His bride at great peril and against overwhelming odds.
He had to.  There was no other way to get back His precious love.
For you see, we are His heart, His love.
We are the expression of who He is, and for Him there is no other.
So He came to set the captives free, to heal the broken hearted and to reunite us with the One.
The only One that can fill the mangled void that is within our hearts.
For we were lost without Him.
We were powerless to save ourselves from the loneliness of an existence that He could not be part of.

And the mystery of the story is that every single facet of creation is telling this very story.
It all points to His great love and determination, at all cost, to have us back.
Wildly reckless in His pursuit of us, He comes.  He draws.  He woos us back to Himself.  To make us once again united.
And though time must pass before complete joining, He is here and we can bring Him now into our hearts.
In this way His love lives in the hearts of those who have sought Him.  Our purpose to be who He made us to be, His beloved.
He joyously comes to unite with us and give us His own heart to fill the void and show us the way of love.
Which is to live from our hearts where He lives, in Truth.
