About Me

My photo
Hi I am a Christian, a nurse, the mother of two grown children and two grand daughters, one grandson, and 3 dogs. I love people and have a huge heart. So why am I blogging? Well I've been told that I need to publish my writings. This seemed to be the easiest way to do that. Also, I want to get out there and live life to the fullest. Empty nests are great because now I get to explore the world. I'm starting right here on my computer. So come along with me and as I learn to fly we'll soar together!

Toni
Toni has had a life not unlike my own, again coming from an abusive dysfunctional family.  She suffered much but has been given the heart of a lion.  She again, like me sought love all of her life.  Her choices and her rebellion had taken her down paths of destruction more abuse, pain, suffering, and loneliness.
She has been married and divorced, taken lovers and gone through the man-eater stage of hate just as I did.  She has born two beautiful children and for the sake of them has fought to be the best that she could be.  She also has known the Lord for many years.  Her relationship with God might be considered unusual in that she has not been to a church for many many years.  Yet her faith has never waivered.
Through abuse as a young girl, rebellion, sexually indiscrimination, death of her first love, fear, loneliness, and self hatred she has endured and has never lost her love for God.
God gave Toni a heart with a capacity to love far beyond that which most of us are able.  Because of this she has been used and has experienced rejection and a life that was full of people that were only out to use her.
Her marriages were disasters, the last one ending only a few months ago.  She had come to the point of believing that she would spend her life alone, raise her children alone, and never give her heart again.  But she didn’t realize how much God loved her.  Yet!

John
John has lived a life of unbelievable pain and suffering also. Not the least of which was having to endure the death of his wife while in his arms after coming home from war, wounded and emotionally and mentally damaged from the experience.  After this John had given up on life in spite of his two beautiful children.  He had suffered so much that all he wanted was to dull the pain and escape.  He almost did, but God had other ideas for his life.  John also has great faith and loves God with all his heart.  But he didn’t realize how much God loved him.  Yet!

John and Toni
For many years Toni and Johns’ life paths had crossed and crisscrossed without them knowing it.  Finally when they were both at the end of their own strength and unable to go on alone God brought them together.  At first it was an attraction and both of them resisted it out of fear and out of the pain that their life’s paths had been.  John ran and Toni hid.  But again, God had other ideas for them.  And once again He stepped into their world and showed them that He was the Author of Love and that He desired to show His Love to each of them through the other.  It was once again like looking in voyeuristically to an intimate but Holy union of the Almighty bringing Himself together with them in their love.  There is so much power and so much tenderness and strength that I see in these two.  God has created a union that He has designed for His own purpose, to glorify Him and demonstrate the healing that He brings to those that He loves.
It is unbelievable to both of them that God could do this for them.  That He could love them so much as to give them this gift of one another.  His healing is His love is demonstrated through the intimacy that they share together with Him.  There is still a lot that God is going to accomplish through them, but for now they are being healed, together, their families blended into one.

Once again God proves that His whole love is not impossible, that with Him love can be made perfect.

The lost, the abandoned, the outcast, the rebel, the lonely, the broken, the unloved, the damaged, the wounded, and the defeated people are the most precious to God.  It is His desire to heal and love and give purpose to their lives.  I can’t wait to see what He has for these two and their children.
