So
this is faith
This
black hole place of void
No
feelings backing strength of purpose
Unhinged
and loosed from standard “Christian” living
For
all intents and purposes – seemingly – alone
And
totally out of control
Ha!
Control. The illusive delusion we all strive for.
What
made me think I’d find it anyway?
That
shifting soil not worth the build
But
unseen rock the only stability in truth
So
yeah, no feelings here – just blah
And
all that’s left to go on
Is
what I know, I know, I know
That
He will never let me go
I’d
rather be here where love not felt is certain,
than
in a world full of frivilous polite conversation.
Don’t
shake my hand, just look me in the eye.
I
want to see the Jesus who lives in you.
Or
else to see your need of Him – laid bare your honest heart.
In
which case I’ll share what I have, His love for you unending.
And
you can mark the place, like me, where everything goes haywire
And
up becomes down – left – right, just so you learn to yield
And
lean on hands unseen, voice unheard, arms untouched
That
are more solid than any universe of His creation
And
know what you know, you know, you know
That
He will never let you go
Yup.
