Sadness and pain overtake me
I am distracted and exhausted
You are all I can think about
My heart aches.
Today I am beaten down and battered.
I don't know why.
Some days I awaken and the very breath of my Lord is palpable.
Today He is nowhere to be found, though I know that He is and has been here.
My senses are faulty - the only conclusion I can come to.
Oh Lord help me to overcome them.
I am stuffed full of You and still desire more
But all I can do is lay down and sleep.
I want to be with You Lord
I long to feel Your presence
I grieve to hear Your voice.
Can I just touch Your robes
Would you please whisper my name
Can I look into Your eyes
Can I wash Your feet with my hair?
I yearn for Your presence
To feel You wipe these tears from my face
To feel Your arms holding me in comfort
To hear Your voice of reassurance
